A circle divided by four axes, this ancient fire-wheel symbolizes power held within form. The enclosing ring represents containment; the quartered interior represents order, the conditions under which fire becomes a tool rather than a force of chaos. The geometry also invites contemporary readings, echoing the quartered symmetry found in reactor cores and neutron transport diagrams.

Investment cast in 31.18 g of sterling silver, then neutron irradiated in the fire of a nuclear reactor,  this piece honors the Seven Orders of Fire: Wild Fire, Domestic Fire, Ceramic Fire, Metallic Fire, Chemical Fire, Nuclear Fire, and Solar Fire.

Wild Fire and Solar Fire remain beyond human mastery. Between them lie the five fires humanity has learned to contain, transmit, and integrate into civilization.

The title After Prometheus refers not to the theft of fire, but to what followed. A fire is not mastered when it is first controlled, but when society accepts its risks, embraces its benefits, and it ceases to be extraordinary.
